A single uncontrolled sliproad crossing with 'Cyclists Dismount' signs (see #51057) has been replaced with two uncontrolled sliproad crossings, without signs. No attempt to line up the footway with the crossings.

Another set of pedestrian crossings to revert to the west side of the A8 Eurocentral junction, since there is no footway around the western side of the roundabout anymore.

As with #100118, the crossing of the A8 is a pedestrian crossing.

Despite the toucan crossing at #100117, all of the other crossings at the A8 Eurocentral junction are pedestrian crossings. It's almost as if they have forgotten that this is/was a shared use route.

A split toucan crossing on Townhead Avenue, Eurocentral, with an HGV combo stopped some way forward of the stopline on the far side.

According to my map from the council, Cumbernauld Cycle Network route 4 does not go up this busy road. I checked at the Balloch Roundabout and there were no further signs.

No signs to say this is a shared-use footway, but according to my map from the council, this is where Cumbernauld Cycle Network routes 4 and 4a are to be found. The roundabout appears to be built on a different plane from the rest of the ... [more]

The roundabout between Loanhead Road and Glenmore Road has underpasses beneath it, as if it was planned to be part of some larger road scheme.

An underpass at the Glenmore Road/Loanhead Road roundabout, seen from the centre. Every other roundabout in the area seems to have some fancy design in the centre, but this one, where people can actually access the space in the centre, is j ... [more]

Underpasses at the Glenmore Road/Loanhead Road junction, looking into the centre from outside a gate at Brannock High School. Clearly this junction was planned to be part of something bigger than this.

The end of the Ravenscraig cycleway and the provision at the A723/B7066 roundabout. Cyclists to merge onto the road, with sliplanes provided both sides. Hopefully this will be rectified when the road is dualled. A new footway/cycleway is pr ... [more]

The Ravenscraig cycleway joins the cycling provision at the A723/B7066 roundabout. There is no provision beyond the roundabout in any direction, so probably best to avoid the A723 northwards.

The Ravenscraig cycleway at the northern crossing of Plantation Road, including provision for those going straight ahead and joining the carriageway.

The Ravenscraig cycleway crossing Plantation Road, with provision for anyone joining from the carriageway of Plantation Road. Note that cycleway markings haven't been reinstated after roadworks.

This is a good example of how a cycleway should start on a main road, rather than the usual dropped kerb, but the cycleway only goes around the roundabout and then is finished. There's not even a connection towards the new college (see #745 ... [more]

Airbles Road is a busy dual carriageway, hostile to cycling, and yet not even a shared footway, despite room to widen the existing footway along much of the road, and many footway connections to adjacent residential streets.

An 'End of Route' sign when the route clearly continues along New Craig Road. The route from here northwards uses the correct flat-topped tactiles and not the corduroy ones used across the junction southwards.

The cycle route alongside Robberhall Road.

End of the line-segregated cycleway through Ravenscraig. Why doesn't it continue through to Craigneuk St?

Crossing of Robberhall Road, which is signed for Edinburgh, so rather more than just a local road. This side is signed here as shared-use, the opposite side is the start of the line-segregated path through the Ravenscraig site to Carfin.

The cycleway from Carfin doesn't yet extend to the end of Robberhall Road to meet the Craigneuk St roundabout cycleway.

The end of the roundabout cycleway on Craigneuk Street.

The roundabout cycleway on Craigneuk Street.

The roundabout cycleway that ended in #89658 recommences.

Cycle route around roundabout ends, but continues across the road to the right.

Footpath closed, on A725 sliproad. Diversion?

No road crossing of Mary Rae Road at roundabout with Hamilton Road. On the left in future there will be a shared-use footway alongside the A725 to Raith Interchange.

The NCN75 crosses the Showcase Cinema access road on this zebra crossing without the usual Belisha Beacons or zig-zags.

Uncontrolled crossing of A8 sliproad at the Showcase Cinema roundabout.

"Use Footway Opposite" - not directed at anyone in particular.

A barrier across the short path linking to Portland Road. The sign does not look particularly good, and could poke someone's eye out at that height!

Lots of barriers to squeeze past, including blocking part of each of the dropped kerbs.

A short dead-end cycle track at a roundabout, that could easily continue on to the New Lanarkshire College in the background.

The reverse of #70290, in the centre of the Craiglinn Interchange roundabout.

A total mess! It appears that all 6 signs for this triangular junction at Craiglinn Interchange have been put on the one pole, at one corner of the junction, and the signs have been twisted around to point in random directions. (Reverse see ... [more]

Does 'fork right' mean take path or road straight ahead? Route 4 to Croy should be 'turn left'. No dropped kerb for anyone who has cycled on the road but now wishes to take the path to follow the cycle route or just simply to avoid the r ... [more]

Unusual double-humped footbridge across Lye Brae dual carriageway.

A large roundabout at the intersection of Lye Brae, Kildrum Road and South Carbrain Road. The latter two have painted cycle lanes, which can be seen recommencing in the background.
